Our Mission - A Traditional Bank meeting the needs of our Customers and Communities with Innovative Products Delivered with Exceptional Service.

First Chatham Bank, the parent company of First Effingham Bank, opened for business on January 23, 2002 in Savannah, GA.  Realizing that Effingham County was experiencing record growth, bank directors and senior management set out to expand the communities that make up Effingham County.  In 2005, First Chatham Bank hired Carolyn B. (Williamson) Sanders to serve as President of First Effingham Bank.  Sanders, a 35 year banking industry veteran, embarked upon opening her 5th bank in Southeast Georgia, her 3rd in Effingham County during the last 18 years.

First Effingham Bank employees have a combined 130 + years of banking experience, most of those years in Effingham County.  The bank's advisory board consists of six local busines men:
